Title: Whom are you threatening, PM or billions of Indians? Post by: oscarf1762 on August 17, 2008, 04:05:11 PM Whom are you threatening, PM or billions of Indians?
On 16th August, 2008 I was totally traumatized by this statement of Hurriyat leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, "The people of Kashmir have the right to trade with Pakistan." Is J & K a nation? Do they have the right to carry out their own international trade under the Indian Constitution? If Article 370 gives them this right, then it should be abrogated. What will happen to our great nation if each and every state and union territory demands for same status which J & K is enjoying? The incorporation of Article 370 in the Indian Constitution was a Nehruvian misadventure. In fact, it was foolishness. No state or union territory can be above the nation. Article 370 MUST be scrapped immediately. J & K was a Hindu kingdom ruled by King Hari Singh. Therefore, it shouldn’t have been given a special status by Nehru. Yesterday, Shri. Omar Abdullah’s threat to resign as MP raises doubts in my mind if he considers himself as Indian first and Kashmiri next. Shri. Omar bhai, there is no place in the Indian Union for separatists. You ask your Muslim brothers who have and are creating trouble for all the peace-loving Indian citizens to stop their militant activity and STOP killing our brothers and sisters. According to me, the Muzaffarabad route should be permanently closed till Pakistan dismantles all their terrorist training camps inside PoK as well as inside Pakistan. I also appeal to our brave jawans and officers of Indian Army as well as CRPF and police to use maximum force to quell this secessionist movement inside J & K once and for all. Your efforts won’t be forgotten by the Indian people, not only in India, but throughout the world. Last but not the least, my congratulations to the organizers of Amarnath Yatra. The conclusion of the yatra was very important and not the protests by Muslim militants. May Lord Amarnath grant the wishes of all those who participated in the yatra. Jai Hind.
