Many Indian/Pakistani parents leave their country and home in the hope of
living with their children peacefully in a foreign country. When they come into a
new country they realise, its not what they were thinking. In a place like USA, the grown up sons/daughters have no time for them, some rightly so ,due to working
conditions, household chores, school schedules etc. Some bring in their parents only to "baby sit" or cook and look after them. Besides this, the seniors,if they cannot
drive are at their mercy for outings. In many USA cities public transport is negligible, and taxis expensive.  They have no friends,no outings, its a golden
cage from which many donot survive or can attempt to return back to their
old homes. Is it better to leave them where their roots are? Or bring them to a strange country,no matter what, and let them suffer?

IN THE CONTXT of   SENIORS PROBLEMS  I was witness of many Indian Seniors in EUROPE\Germany, we had also organised a European level Discussions with the Help of Social minister of Germany.   As most of the GROWN up childrens get their own childrens, shortage of Finance, in a costly EUROPE growing to sky hight House RENTS, think of Helping their parents in their home country, like India, Pakistan Sri lanka etc.    As they arrive for 1st year they find it is their duty to help their Family members as the TRADITIONAL Indian thoughts, but in the 2nd year they arrive to the conclusion that, it was mistake that they came to EUROPE to join their Childrens?  As they had no Privacy of their OWN, nor adequate Pocket money as and when they wish to buy anything for themselves or Grand Childrens.    But asking their grown up childrens for money they shame and think it was below their Degree to extend an ARM for Financial Help? although they slog at home  from Baby sitting to household work of their Childrens, sons, Daughter in laws etc..   But they too donot have any sollution to this problems at the age after 65 in India.  As in india not only the roads but the attitude of the Govt. to this problem is not even opend nor discussed except of Govt Employees as the Govt. have to pay their Salaries &  PENSIONS.    In both cases SENIORS are victim of their own tradition and Help less in EUROPE?

When I observe parents who come to stay for some months, help their children out to raise their grand children for few months and then go back to their country, I see no problem with that.

But the author of this topic is stressing the point which is really important. Children should not put their parents in such golden cages if they cannot spend time with them.

Off Topic: The govenments of India and Pakistan should introduce something like social security in USA which should solve some Senior issues in India.

Dear Indian,

You may be aware that USA has Social system but not attractive to Seniors, but during the Employment who had contributed only for them a good treatment?.  USA Blacks are victims of Rascism and these peoples Seniors do not get the equal right as Whites for your kind information Mr INDIAN?
The US system is obsolate insted we can combine the EUs new SENIORS plans with HUMAN RIGHTS past Commissions suggesstions to begin with.
May be with  debate & discussion bring more additions to the betterment of SENIORS of tomorrow to have Happy Life til their last breath?
